Here's the thing, I'm going to be starting a "Cell-Phone Sundays" here on the site, no need to really explain myself. It will start this Sunday. Anywho, here's to cleaning out some clips off my phone over the past month or so...
... I did some deep cleaning on the hard drive and found a lot of leftover clips from my stay in Arizona. I will be posting stuff over the next week or so. Here's the first batch, here's a clip of Duke, Alex, & Marty skating a park that now requires you to pay :(
Garza, Jay, Tyler, Justin, Duke, & Jon are in this random clip.
This arrived in my email this morning from Justin. Perhaps I will have another montage emailed to me when he gets back from Arizona, or possibly when he gets back from Spain. Anywho, enjoy this...
Last week I went downtown, yet who didn't go downtown last week... My battery died before Daryl was able to stick this. Sorry Daryl... :(
This almost looks like summertime footage... ahhh how long will this last?
I've been a little busy running away from exploding cars and 5th store windows shattering... Anyways... I decided to try and get in the swing of things and update, unlike any other website I visit on the daily!!!
The cold seemed to be coming our way last week, causing some malfunctions with my camera, but luckily we had better luck this week with the weather. I hope we have a few more weeks of this nice weather... :)
We've been a little busy over at Landslide lately. We built some new things, here's one of the newest things we just recently finished building... Come in and shred.
Also, added the BIG 1 footage to the top, but you already know that :)
Enjoy...
The other day I found myself skating with Justin. It was just the two of us, that has never happened before... Anywho, he showed me a cool spot, and did some cool tricks.
I know where I'll be this Sunday, what about you?
skatedetroit.com for more info and a cool video of the making of the big 1 box :)
Over the summer while I was in AZ, Ben was doing a bit of filming, here's some footage he sent my way that I don't plan on using in anything. Well I guess I'm using it on here, nvm, enjoy it...
Went skating earlier today with Mike. Was sort of "mission style" to head to this rail that he would normally get booted pretty fast. So we went for it...
I have an update on here? WTF...
Went to Mt. Clemens the other day and skated around their most of the day. Here's a fun spot Sammy and Adam skated for a little while...
This clip needs no explanation...
"Why didn't you use that one trick? How come that wasn't in there? Why didn't you give me a part?" - The list goes on! Adam has heard enough from all these dudes, here's some leftovers from his video.
Sorry for updating so much this past week... The other day we were in Birmingham and Ryan had an eye to try this big double set...
Here's a dumb clip from this weekend...
Enjoy the first day back in the trap everyone!
If you didn't already know, Will has been in town killing it with good times and sweet pics. Here are just a few pictures I was able to gank from his blog and show you what he's been up to while here in the mitten.
Alex always has a good eye for a cool trick, a cool spot, a cool picture, etc. Here's a shot of him popping out of a fs50-50 in some garage in Ann Arbor last weekend. Adam didn't land this wallride nollie popper, but it sure is pretty lookin'. Tony launching a nice looking frontside flip off this kicker.
The past couple weeks we've been making it a routine to head to Ann Arbor sometime over the weekend. The dudes were able to skate this bump spot again for a while without getting the boot.
So Will is back in town killing it as usual. He will have a new section on the site very soon, just finishing up his first article for it. :) He will have an article every once in a whie documenting his journeys and adventures that he encounters while on the road and whatnot...
So saturday we headed to Ann Arbor again, we ended up meeting up with some dudes and skated a few spots. Mike was doing his normal thing making rail skating look easy... Matt Rado and Mike skated Tappan for a little while... And Hartzel was catching the action with his digi-cam.
Tony and Adam came along and was messing around at the spot...
There's this bump at this BP, Bobby, Dave, and Hartzel got a chance to skate it for a while, just enough time to almost land some of their tricks... Just kidding :~)
To finish the day off, we skated this ledge inside of this overpass. And yes! The ledge is as high as it looks.
The other day we skated this rail in Rochester, normally you can only get a few goes at it, but this day was different, ended up there for a little over an hour, enough time to get a few clips, but not enough time for Mike to land his trick...
So Dave and I rapped up summer camps at the park, afterwards we headed to a couple spots. My camera is making me record continuously, so I tend to catch things I normally wouldn't be filming. Dave was trying a wheelie trick for a few.
Today was a pretty productive day, at least for Dave and I. Mostly for Dave... :)
We ended up meeting up with Alex, Tony, Sholar, and Adam. Adam was in the corner finishing editing his video with the help of the outlets. :) Alex thought of a line to try...
I'll leave you these clips for the weekend, see you Monday.
Here's some leftover clips of Kevin from when he was out in AZ. Sorry if it leaves you wanting more, if you want more, I'm pretty sure he will have some junk in this new IAIS video.. (whenever that comes out)
A few nights ago we stayed after hours at Landslide to build a new setup, it's a replica setup of that longer 5 stair at the Maloof Money Cup, it will have the exact rail and hubbas as well... Also under construction is a new box. The stuff is still being built, here's a clip Ben and Tony skating this new bump to bar setup...
The other day, we made a plan to meet up with Justin and Ben at Birmingham park. The plan was to get there around 10:30, Adam, Tony, Alex, & myself woke up at 2, just in time to say goodbye to Justin. Justin just left for the westcoast, while he's gone, enjoy this clip that Ben put together...
Decided to show Daryl, Jon, Johnny, Adam, & Alex this flatgap spot down the side of a hillbomb. They were all liking it, untill the rain came and had to find something to pass the time. Went back 45 minutes later and it was dry for the remainder of the day. Daryl, Jon, & Adam decided to try and film some stuff, not without having to work for it though. This spot is harder to skate than it should be (but isn't everything these days)! Johnny and Tony had some fun of their own bombing it...
This clip of Adam is from the other day. Listen to that weeeeeeeezzzz!!!
We made a plan to head to Ann Arbor earlier in the day, obviously we left here again at 3pm :0... Anyways, we made it there and hit up some spots while the sun was still in the air...
"Let's wake up early in the morning..." So that totally didn't work today, finally got out of the house at 4pm. Headed to my side of town and skated a cool rock that Anthony found during his working hours. Had some fun there, then we moved on. The clip from Andersons is from the other night :)
So the other day, Adam, Alex, Sholar, Dave, Johnny, Tony & myself went down a few miles and had some fun on these little banks at this "Bank of America"... Their a little harder to skate than what it seems.
I apologize for lacking with the updates, I've been staying over the Muellers residence and we were having technical difficulties capturing footage... Anyways, we hit up Port Huron two days ago, fog was setting in as you can see in some of the clips...
Yesterday Adam and Alex went to a ball game with their family, Alex left Tony and I his keys, so while they were gone we met up with Ben and Sholar and went to OCC. We came across this fun hill bomb with flatgaps along the sidewalk. Ben thought of something to try so we tried filming it. By the time we were done filming he was already 10 mintues late for work, so him and Sholar took off. Adam & Alex were home now so we picked them up and headed to this cool spot closer to my side of town...
I've been meaning to post this... Duke Austerberry was the Roger of the Month for June over at rogerskateboards.com. Here's his ad they couldn't afford to run.
I went ahead and leaked his outro video for your enjoyment...
Tomorrow I will be popping my cherry at Riley park, maybe I'll see you there!
As you can see I made some changes to the site, well... actually, Ray is the one who made it happen. Adams promo is up, :). The "Shred Til Yer Dead" video is to the right, along with a winter montage at Landslide. The rightside of this site will be changing often, you don't wanna miss anything do ya? Keep checking back more than you should be! Ray also helped me figure out how to compress the videos so they will work on iPods and iPhones.... (I still need a phone...) Anyways, the content in the top section of the site is for showcasing current montages, promos, articles, etc... Whatever I feel worth showcasing I guess. The blog is still here, just a little modified, and a hell of a lot cleaner than before. The left side of this site is the blog (if you didn't already figure that out).
Last night Brandon took us to this ledge over rocks that he cemented angle iron on.
Also, we have this thumbnail picture thing, this way the picture's wont make the blog a mile long...
The site should be running smoother and faster than the old one, thanks again Ray...
